Story Expo 2024 - The Biggest Story Experts In The World
Since 2013, Story Expo has been the preeminent (and now only) conference in the world for serious Screenwriters, TV Writers, Authors, and more. We shifted, as the rest of the world did, to an online format from 2020 to 2022, but stormed back LIVE IN PERSON in 2023 with a jam-packed NYC event attended by writers from around the world. But like all great things, 2024 will be our grand finale, and it promises to be our biggest and best yet.
We take writing, and writers, seriously. Over the past 11 years, we've featured the biggest and best teachers and speakers in the world on the art and craft of writing and storytelling. From legendary screenwriting guru SYD FIELD giving the very first Opening Keynote at Story Expo 1 in 2013, to legendary and internationally renowned story guru ROBERT McKEE giving the Closing Keynote at Story Expo in 2023, we've featured the best teachers in the world along side Oscar and Emmy-winning industry heavyweights.
For our 2024 edition, we're going big - STORY EXPO 11 will feature over two and a half days of advanced story theory and practical, professional techniques, in addition to story workshops, career workshops, our famed pitching room, industry Q&As and more.
Anchoring our Story Expo Masters of Story Theatre this year we'll have "The Best Script Doctor In The Industry" John Truby teaching a full day session, the massively influential
author of "The Writer's Journey" Chris Vogler teaching a full half day master class, and reclusive story guru David S Freeman, a regular consultant and speaker at major film and studios around the world, but rarely does he teach to the general public anymore. The LA Times called David, "One of the few screenwriting gurus who has become an institution" in Hollywood.
Truby, Vogler and Freeman have each developed brand new, advanced talks specially for Story Expo. Their talks are geared towards professional, working screenwriters, TV writers, authors, producers, directors, development executives, and more.
For the serious career writer, Story Expo 11 promises to be our most packed and intense conference yet.
