BASED ON A TRUE STORY
How much can you deviate from the truth? ‘Catch Me If You Can.’ ‘Erin Brockovich.’ and ‘In Pursuit of Happyness’ are some of the greatest movies based on true story of recent times. Of course there ARE some fiction within the facts presented in these stories. The questions are: How do you write stories based on true life events? Which true life events would be ‘interesting’ enough to spin into stories? How much can you ‘deviate’ from facts and how much fiction should you inject into the stories?
